Before you begin
You need a Claude plan that supports remote MCP custom connectors — availability is set by Anthropic and varies by plan and region — plus a Tidyboard account that already belongs to a household.
The connector never creates accounts or households. Sign in as yourself: it acts as your member, with exactly your permissions. A child account stays restricted — it can log its own meals and complete its own tasks, but cannot act for anyone else.
Add the custom connector
- Open Claude connector settings and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Tidyboard and paste only the URL below; leave headers and OAuth credentials empty.
- Choose Auth when it appears, sign in through Cognito, review Tidyboard consent, and approve the initial read scope.

- Ask Claude: "list my Tidyboard tasks" first.
- Confirm the returned household context matches what you expect.
- When a finance or recovery tool needs another scope, follow the automatic step-up Auth prompt and approve only that exact scope on Tidyboard's consent page.
- After finance.read, try: "Explain how my latest chore payout changed wallet total, earmarked, and available funds."
- With finance.write, try: "Preview a $25 gift from Grandma for my Lego goal; do not apply it yet." Review whether the result is an immediate adult deposit or a child approval request before applying.
- Disconnect and reconnect if Auth or refresh cannot recover a stale session.
